Many felt things...

I have been quiet on the blog but not with my felt making...

It's been great fun. I 've been working with friends, with new felters, with experienced felters, with children and on my own.

Cobweb Scarf Workshops

There have been cobweb workshops. These two are smiling...not bad considering how tired they are...hee hee. Mind you I did keep running round with biscuits (I think I may have eaten most of them!)

 Alpaca Experiments

I haven't really worked with alpaca before, this was my first cobweb scarf using some dyed alpaca from Alandale Alpaca.   I just love it, so soft , just lush!

Pre-School Children and Felt Making Workshops

There have been workshops with pre-school children...I love this butterfly. Looks great on her backpack!

Beginner Bag Workshops.

Great fun and fantastic results from people who have never felted before.

Primary School Felt Making Workshops

I just love these workshops. I love the way they refer to me as 'The Felt Lady'. I love how they look at you when you show them what they can make and I love it when they kiss their creatures good night after a long day! Just priceless.

What a fantastic effort from these children. I just love everything they did. I hope you do to.

Mess!

I am writing this post for myself, I am not including photographs because quite frankly I am embarrassed ;-)

I cannot see the floor or table in my studio. There are piles of fibre everywhere, templates everywhere, I have lost 4 cups and a notebook.

I have been working like mad, in a space that is getting smaller and smaller, fibre is crawling up all around me - soon I will be in a fibre cave.

I think I need to tidy up

...and then start again....

Bag Workshop

I had great fun with Jackie and Margie creating these stunning bags. Neither had done any felting before...and Margie was thinking about doing flowers...we persuaded her to do a bag! She did the knitting bag, fantastic. I love the detail that Jackie got on her bag, she has two different images and is planning further embellishments at home. I am looking forward to seeing the final piece.

I have heard that both bags are much admired and both ladies slept well that night!

Flower Bag and Knitting Bag
Great job ladies!

We thought these looked like 'Sweet Peas'... just beautiful.

Close Up of the knitting bag...what lucky knitting!

Rolling, rolling and more...rolling.

Very tired...but smiling. I heard that both ladies slept well that night!

A good day!
